Petlog for Local Authorities

Petlog is the UK's largest independent microchip registration and pet reunification database, which is managed by the Kennel Club. Petlog offers a 24 hours, 365 days a year service to pet owners, animal wardens, welfare centres, veterinary practices, rescue centres and local authorities.

We recognise the important role that local authorities play in the reunification process. As part of our ongoing work to help you, we have conducted research in conjunction with local authorities to see how you deal with stray dogs and how they affect you. From the research, it was revealed that as many as 8/10 dogs* which local authorities picked up were microchipped, but many of the dogs contact details were out-of-date.

To help you remind the public of how important it is for them to keep their pets contact details up-to-date we have produced a poster and postcard, which you can print out and use.

Petlog are also working in conjunction with Cooper & Co. Solicitors who are running a series of Doglaw Seminars for professionals. The first series of seminars proved to be so popular that they are now holding additional days. For more details and to find out where your nearest seminar is, click on the link below.
