Once you have had your pet microchipped with a microchip that is
part of the Petlog service, we shall send a confirmation letter to
you to confirm your details have been registered on our microchip
database.
Register for an account with the Petlog
website
You will then need to register with the Petlog website and
choose yourself a password and username. Once you have
registered you will have the option of Adding a Petlog record. You
will need both the microchip number and Petlog ID number to add a
record to your account.
What's a Petlog ID number?
The Petlog ID number is generated when a record is registered on
the Petlog database - this is unique and will change whenever there
is a Change of Ownership on a record.
This will be displayed in
the confirmation email and the confirmation letter that goes out to
the customer.
You must ensure that the details held with the Petlog database
are identical to the details you register for the website, as if
they differ you will be unable to add your pet's to your acccount.
NB: If you are changing address - change the address of
your pet over the phone first, or register your online account in
your 'old' address.
