Purr-fect Adventure Ending for Nobby the Cat!

Issued N/A

Caroline Risby from North London was recently reunited with her pet cat, Nobby after he went missing for six weeks, thanks to the work of Petlog, the Kennel Club's pet reunification service, the vital link in getting lost pets home.

Nobby disappeared from Caroline's home after going out for a day's adventure. When he didn't return home, his disappearance caused great sadness and distress to Caroline and her family.

Caroline describes: "I was absolutely devastated when Nobby went missing. He is a much loved member of our family.   We contacted the Petlog helpline, who were very reassuring and gave us hope by encouraging us to advertise in the local paper and displaying posters and leaflets around the local area. This made us feel more positive and reassured us that we were doing everything we could to get Nobby home again."

However, it wasn't until six weeks later that a family in Hendon discovered Nobby hiding in their garage.  They took him to a local vet in Finchley where the vet was able to identify Nobby by scanning and reading his unique Petlog reference number on the microchip inserted under his skin.
