Binky reunited

Pets name: Binky

Area:
Bristol

Binky story:

Binky had been living with his keepers for nine years in the same place. After this period, the keepers decided to move to another area. What should've been an exciting time for the keepers, became a nightmare when Binky went missing around September of 2021. They looked everyday and night for Binky for months on end but there was no sign of him. They even placed posters in the local area, created Facebook posts and informed local vets, making sure they tried every way to get their cat back home. It took over a year and three months before Binky had been spotted, with Facebook being used to help reunite the keepers with their cat. Binky's microchip was scanned to confirm it was him that had been spotted.

Although Binky is much more anxious after returning home, he is beginning to settle down and will hopefully be back to normal in no time. The keepers suggest microchipping your pets is essential so you can improve your chances of reunification.

Keep your details up to date

Make sure your details are up-to-date to have the best chance of reuniting your pet with you should the worst happen.

We offer a
Petlog Premium package for a one-off fee of £19.95. This allows the pet keeper to update their records as many times as is needed throughout the lifetime of their pet – that would be less than £2 per year. We don’t believe this is too much to pay for the peace of mind of knowing a pet is far more likely to be returned home if it went missing.

Microchipping will be a legal requirement for cats in England from 10 June 2024 and owners must register and keep contact details up to date on a microchipping database. If your cat is registered with Petlog, please check your details are up to date now.

If you haven’t created an online account with us since our March 2021 website upgrade, please do this before 10 June 2024.
